You may remember the fabulous couple Bianca and Brian from their gorgeous early morning engagement session a few months back. They wed recently at the prestigious Beverly Hills Hotel at it was great fun to see and work with them again. The weather was perfect, the bride was stunning and the decor was absolutely breathtaking (thanks to the amazing Luna Gardens!!).

Surrounded by their friends and family, Kara and David married on May 2nd at the gorgeous Mountain Gate Country Club. I love this location.... the ceremony site is set up on the golf course and you are immersed in greenery and an amazing mountain view. Kara was worried that the wedding planner in her would hinder her ability to enjoy the day, but I think she was one of the most relaxed and calm brides I have ever seen. She had a glowing smile that never left her face and watching her and David together was so touching as you could feel the love between them from the moment they first saw each other. They will soon be traveling to Israel for a year of studying and I know it will be an amazing experience as they begin this new chapter in their lives.

The beautiful Brenda married Michael, her longtime love of seven years this month at the majestic Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. It was truly a magical event and I had a hard time narrowing down what photos to post today. Everyone was a pleasure to work with - full of smiles, laughs and just wanting to have fun. Please enjoy!!

The first glance was one of my favorites.... the staircase at the hotel lent itself beautifully for this special moment. I have about 20 shots of this sequence and I love them all, but here are a few of my favorites.....

The color of the bridesmaids dresses was such a bold choice, and I think it worked perfectly. They all looked amazing!

There just happened to be a Rolls Royce out front... yay for us and the great photo opp!

Stopping traffic at the Wilshire/Rodeo Dr. intersection. There were a few honks, but I think most were of the congratulatory nature!

Last week I met up with Tracy and Brian at their home in Venice Beach. After predictions of rain and gloom, I was excited driving to the coast because the sun was out and shining bright. We started out with a quick stroll through the canals and I loved seeing how they interacted with each other - very comfortable in front of the camera and so cute together - laughing, cuddling and goofing around.

I really like his smile in the photo.... such a cute moment.

As we made made our way closer to the boardwalk the wind finally hit us. Wow - this was wind like I had never experienced before - sand whipping across your face, burning your legs and arms. We quickly ducked into alleys to find shelter and stumbled upon some great backdrops in the process. I loved this red fire escape against the blue building - amazing colors!

We finally braved the winds head on and headed to the beach. The sand was blown smooth so the only foot prints were ours.

They were such troopers through this whole process. Poor Tracy was getting so wind blown and I know the sand was stinging her legs, but I love how they were just having fun and we did have the beach to ourselves :)

We decided to stop into a nearby tavern after finishing the shoot. Nothing like a little Irish Whisky to warm you up!

This was the last shot as we were leaving to go home and I love it.

Thank you Tracy and Brian for a fantastic afternoon of photography that I will never forget!

I can't wait for the big day in August... I hope the winds calm down by then!

I am so excited to share these photos with you today. Over the weekend, I photographed little Keira and her parents at Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills. She is such a treat - ridiculously adorable and full of life and energy. She loves soccer and watching her and daddy kicking the ball around was great. Needless to say, I was exhausted afterwards from running around trying to keep up with her. Please enjoy!

It was a beautiful Saturday in April when Saadia wed her love, Michael in front of all their friends and family. The amazing affair took place at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. I love this location. There are so many great nooks and crannies for picture taking and the light was just gorgeous. The lush greenery and landscaping was a stark contrast from their urban engagement session last month, which is what they were going for. Saadia made a gorgeous bride and was glowing the entire day. You could feel the love just in the way Michael looked at her. It was truly a pleasure working with them and I wish them every happiness.

I awoke before sunrise a few days ago to meet up with Bianca and Brian for their early morning engagement session. The air was a bit chilly, but to see downtown Los Angeles so deserted was fantastic. We had the Disney Concert Hall all to ourselves, which is a very rare occurrence. After we had our fill of the downtown area, we changed gears and headed to Venice Beach. I had a wonderful time spending my morning hours with this fabulous couple and I can't wait for their luxurious wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel in May. She is going to make the most beautiful bride.... enjoy!!

I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by. It's the middle of March already!! What this means is that Saadia and Michael's wedding celebrations are just over three weeks away. I have been looking forward to their wedding since I first met Saadia back in September.

Over the weekend I met up with them at their brand spanking new apartment in downtown Los Angeles. We spent a few hours just wandering the streets to find all the little nooks and crannies that make the city so cool - plus they were able to take note of the cute cafes and places of interest in their new neighborhood. It was a gorgeous day, which was a welcome break from all the rain and wind we've been having. I had a great time with a fabulous couple and I am looking forward to their big day more than ever!! This past weekend I had another shoot with one of my favorite little girls - the precious Grayson Belle. I first met her last June when she was just a few weeks old. She has grown so much since then and I always enjoy photographing her and her wonderful family. We used Valentine's Day as an excuse to get together for a fabulous photo shoot :-) I am so in love with these photos - please enjoy!!

Some close friends of the family came by to participate. While we were waiting for the star of the show to have a have an outfit change and a snack/bottle they lounged outside in their gorgeous dresses.

My first wedding of 2010 was with the beautiful Laura and her fabulous new husband Ivo. They are amazing - lots of fun and laughter the entire day. The event was at one of my favorite places of all time - Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. The weather during the week was awful - flooding rainstorms, winds and overall just no fun. I told them earlier in the week not to worry. I just knew the clouds would part and we would have a successful OUTDOOR ceremony :-) Lo and behold, the rain continued until Friday evening and then Saturday morning I peeked out my curtains and the sun was out, the sky was blue and we were ready for a wedding!

I love when couples get to see each other for the first time all dolled up in their wedding garb. It's such a special, private moment for them before the ceremony.

The way Ivo looked at Laura all day was so touching. He couldn't stop starting at her - you could feel the love - it just makes me smile.

The sunset was beautiful and vibrant.

What an amazing way to start life as man and wife!

Event Planner extraordinaire, Niall Deegan was there to make sure the entire day went off without a hitch. Fabulous, as always :-)

This was my third photo session with little James and his family and I was so excited to see them all again! James isn't so little anymore as he is about 14 months old. You can see how much he's grown since our last session here. His smile is infectious and when he laughs, his blue eyes sparkle. It was such fun photographing him, even though it was hard to keep up now that is fully mobile :-)

I just wanted to share a couple of my favorites.... please enjoy!

I had a hard time competing with the leaves. He LOVES leaves. So, instead of continuing my loosing battle with gaining his attention, we just put him a pile of leaves and let him have at it. He was having a blast!!

I am very excited to be finally sharing these photos with you. They are long overdue. Neeru and Bodhi were married back in September at Rancho De Las Palmas in Simi Valley. This is the first time I had been to this location, and I really loved working there. There were so many place to take photos that it was hard to choose where to go first - a photographer's dream! Neeru and Bodhi were great to work with. They were so comfortable in front of the camera that it made my job too easy. I had shot Neeru's sister's wedding a couple of years ago as well as another couple that were guests this day. I LOVE seeing past clients again and this being my third wedding with this group, I started seeing many familiar faces. Such a treat :-)

Neeru was a stunning bride and the gorgeous, vibrant colors and traditions that I love about shooting South Asian weddings made this a fantastic day! Please enjoy....

Bodhi's Baraat included a horse of sorts - a Ford Mustang!!

A curtain is held in front of the groom while the bride walks down the aisle. This tradition goes back to when Hindu marriages were arranged and the bride and groom had never laid eyes on each other before the ceremony.

This is one of my favorite photos - even though the curtain was somewhat sheer, the anticipation to fully see each other for the first time that day was amazing.

After the curtain is moved, it's tradition to see who can throw rice on each other the fastest. The winner would then become the dominant in the relationship. I've seen this many time and the bride wins every time :-) Neeru did as well, this was just Bodhi reciprocating.

Their clothes are tied together as a symbol of the permanent union. This is where the phrase "tying the knot" comes from.

The families of Jennifer and Mark came together on November 8th to celebrate their fabulous wedding at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City. It was wonderful being a part of this special day and I couldn't be happier for the newlyweds :-)

Her cousin was her maid of honor - I love the height difference between them :-)

Did I mention Mark was a sports fanatic? Slam dunk at the Chuppah!!

We couldn't even start photos until they finished watching the Chargers beat the Giants... at least having their team win put a big smile on all of the guys faces :-)

I had the pleasure of working with Jacob and his family as he celebrated his Bar Mitzvah last month. Jacob did a fantastic job during the service at the Wilshire Blvd Temple and then partied with friends and family at the WP (Wolfgang Puck) at the Pacific Design Center later that evening. It was a beatuiful event planned and coordinated by Paula Gild of Gilded Events. I always love working with Paula and her fabulous team. The restaurant looked amazing - the flowers, the lighting... the SHOES!! Loved everything :-)

I recently was the photographer for a special event held at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks. This event was put on by Michelle Weston, the Director of Catering and Nikki Khan, owner of the exclusive event planning business, Exquisite Events. Since the country club has recently opened it's doors to the public for weddings and other events, Nikki and Michelle felt it was a great opportunity to introduce the venue to the members of the South Asian Community.

This event was especially fun for me, not only because I got to see many vendors I work with often, but also several past clients were guests!! Really, the best part was because after I finished photographing the decor and guests, I was able to sit down and enjoy an amazingly delicious four course meal :-)

It was a gorgeous evening and thank you to all of the contributors..... it was a pleasure working with each and every one of you!

October 16th is when Sean wed his beautiful bride, Glaucia at the Smog Shoppe. This place is so cool - it used to be an old mechanics garage and now it's transformed into a very hip, secluded venue right in the middle of West LA.

I started at the SLS hotel in Beverly Hills to be there when Glaucia and the girls got ready. Her dress is fabulous and sexy and I am absolutely in love with her bouquet. The colors and different types of flowers were so unique and gorgeous.

It was an amazing way to spend a Friday evening. The couple were glowing as they were surrounded by their friends and family to celebrate this special day. Plus, it was probably the most memorable mother/son dance I've ever seen :-)

I am very excited to finally post this entry about Diana and Patrick's wedding. I am a bit behind on my blogging, and I've been wanting to share this beautiful couple's wedding day with you. They were married at a private home in Canyon Country on October 10th. The entire day was filled with love and laughter and an all around good time. Enjoy!!

October 4th was one of the windiest days I've ever seen since moving to Southern California 8 years ago - it was also the day that Melody wed her longtime love, David. I met with them the weekend before to shoot their engagement session (see here) and I was excited to see them again so soon. The wedding took place at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. I love this hotel - it's very luxurious having been recently renovated, but still retains that casual "beachy" feel. Coordination and planning was done by the fabulous Niall Deegan.

Melody and David are such a treat to photograph - they are fun, lighthearted and LOVE having their picture taken (well, Melody does and David is a great sport about going along with it.) We braved the winds and had the beach pretty much to ourselves - thank you for being you and allowing me to be the one to capture this amazing day!!

I love how you can see everyone watching the happy couple during their first dance :-)

Lower ceilings made it a tricky hora, but they made it work!

Last week Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan visited LA and was honored during a dinner party hosted by the Consul General and his wife. The guest list included Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa and Dr. Stanley Wolpert, curator at the LACMA among others. Nikki Khan of Exquisite Events transformed the backyard into a serene and lovely retreat for the guests to dine under the stars with an extensive buffet of Pakistani food.

Jennifer and Bryan wed last weekend at Shanghai Reds in Marina Del Rey. This location is really cool - not only are you outside right by the water for the ceremony and reception, but they have lush greenery and covered walkways with Koi Ponds out front. Best of both worlds!!

The bride and groom each had 8 friends stand up with them as part of their bridal party. I've been seeing some large bridal parties lately and I just love to see all the care and support my couple's get from their friends and family :-)

Century City Flower Market provided the beautiful flowers. I think her bouquet was so elegant.

The restaurant turned the ceremony site into the outside dinner area very quickly - beautiful place to watch the sunset.

The cake cutting got a bit messy :-)

I love this shot during their first dance - they were in their own little world....

Roman from the Pro DJ Team rocked the reception and got everyone on their feet!

Melody and David are getting married this Sunday at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. I couldn't be more excited - I love the hotel, I love the beach and I love photographing them!! We did an engagement session last weekend and it was a gorgeous September day in Malibu. A light breeze was blowing and the water was warm enough for them to not mind getting a bit wet :-)

Thank you Melody and David for a fun day at the beach and I will see you in a few short days for a fantastic wedding!!

Laurin and Alvin wed on a gorgeous September day at the First United Methodist Church of North Hollywood two weeks ago. I had never been to this church before and it was beautiful inside and out.

Their bridal partly was large.... very large. I think 9 on each side not including ushers, candle lighters, flower girls and ring bearer. It was fantastic to see all of their friends and family come together to support them on this very special occasion.

Laurin was a stunning bride and Alvin a very handsome groom - this made it very difficult for me to choose which photos to post today - I liked so many!! Check them out and enjoy :-)

This church was gorgeous - the stained glass throughout was beautiful.

We had to race around to the side entrance of the church immediately after the ceremony to start on family pics at the alter.... I love this moment :-)

The fabulous Annie Edmonds was my assistant for the day and took this photo of the flower girls and ring bearer - thanks Annie!!

After leaving the church we headed to the Courtyard Marriott in Sherman Oaks where the reception was held. This hotel has a great rooftop pool deck that gave us a fabulous place for some sunset shots!!

The bridal party danced their way into the reception and then gathered on the dance floor to cheer in the newlyweds....

Who entered decked out in fur, cigar, hat and sunglasses - love it!

It's as if everyone is dancing just for them :-)

Maya celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on August 22nd with the service at Stephen S Wise Temple. This was a very special occasion, and not just for Maya. She is the only girl out of 6 kids (yes, 6), and you could tell this was a day that was cherished by the entire family.

The service was beautiful, heartfelt and she was so well composed and elegant during her Torah reading. Then, a double decker bus took the kids downtown to Café Pinot afterwards to really celebrate with an amazing party! I am going to let the photos speak for themselves.... enjoy!

Her younger twin brothers were the ark openers.

Her Tallit was gorgeous! They found it during their trip to Israel and I loved the colors....

Ready for some fun!! Woo hoo!

- plus, they were edible!

Cafe Pinot is a wonderful outdoor venue right in the middle of downtown. The courtyard is surrounded by trees and tall bushes that you can easily forget you are in the middle of city - that is, until you look up (see photo above) and see the tall buildings.

The name cards were attached to Pixi Stix (because you can't too much sugar!) but what I loved about these was that the paper with everyone's names was Seeded Paper. You can go home, plant your name card and watch it grow!

Go Maya!!

Her uncle is an amazing guitarist.
